    New publication on bugs

Colleagues from different GBOL institutions report in an article published in the open-access journal PLoS ONE about new information, which they have acquired in the course of the analysis of a DNA barcode data set with 1742 individuals of 457 species of Heteroptera. Accordingly, 91.5% of the species can be unequivocally determined by their COI sequence. In 10 species-pairs they found identical COI sequences, and in 16 species conspicuously high genetic differences were observed.
