Responsibilities of GBOL-Taxon-Experts

• Delivery of correctly determined and well-preserved specimens for DNA barcode analyses.
• Reliable supply of metadata (i.e. taxonomy, collection date and location, GPS coordinates, gender, life cycle etc.)
• Sample material collected and determined by GBOL-partners needs to be stored in collections of the respective GBOL institutions.
• Dialogue with the relevant GBOL taxon-coordinators to resolve questions concerning the taxonomic determination.
